Glow Up

Support

A habit tracker on one screen.

Habits are rows, the seven days of the week are columns, and a tap fills a day in. On an HDR-capable iPhone the filled marks glow brighter than white.

The marks are not glowing.

Three things turn the glow off, in order of likelihood: your iPhone's display cannot do it (the glow needs a display with headroom above SDR white — on any other iPhone the marks are plain white, and nothing is broken); the Glow slider is at minimum (Settings → Glow — at the very bottom the glow is off, and the app says so under the slider); or Low Power Mode is on (iOS withdraws display headroom in Low Power Mode, and the app shows a notice when this is what is happening).

Screen brightness, ambient light and how warm the phone is all change how much headroom iOS grants, so the glow can be brighter in one moment than another. The line under the slider reads out what the screen is actually giving.

I tapped the widget and nothing happened.

Only today's slot is a button on the widget — that is one confirmed action from the Home Screen. Every other part of the widget opens the app on This Week, where any day can be edited.

Can I log a habit twice in a day?

No. A day is done or not done.

Where are my streaks?

There aren't any, on purpose. Nothing in the app counts consecutive days. It shows what is left to do rather than a record to protect.

Can I get my data out?

Settings → Data → Export History. CSV or JSON, straight to the share sheet.

Does anything leave my phone?

No. No account, no sync, no analytics, no tracking. See the privacy policy.

How do I add a widget?

Long-press an empty area of your Home Screen, tap Edit → Add Widget, and search for Glow Up. The Widgets tab inside the app shows each widget at its real size over your own habits, and marks the ones you have already placed.
